Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric vehicles (FAME) India scheme

FAME India scheme or Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles in India scheme was launched by Government of India in 2015 to achieve the objectives of National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020. 

FAME scheme aims to promote manufacturing of electric and hybrid vehicles.

Blue flag certification for Indian beaches

On the occasion of International Coastal Clean-Up Day (18th Sept, 2020), the Environment Ministry announced that for the first time, 8 beaches of India are recommended for the International eco-label, the Blue flag certification. 

MoEFCC has also launched India’s own eco-label BEAMS by e-hoisting the flag -#IAMSAVINGMYBEACH simultaneously at these eight beaches.

Blue Flag programme is operated by Denmark-based non-profit organization "Foundation for Environmental Education" (FEE) which is headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark and have the motto of "Pure water, clean coasts, safety and access for all".

World Bank provides $400 million loan for Namami Gange Programme

$400 million loan agreement has been signed between Government of India and World Bank on 7th July, 2020 for rejuvenating River Ganga.

Loan will fund second National Ganga River Basin project which is part of Namami Gange programme.
