India-Japan Maritime bilateral exercise (JIMEX)
India-Japan Maritime bilateral exercise (JIMEX) is a maritime bilateral exercise held between Indian navy and Japan Navy since 2012 with special focus on maritime security cooperation.
JIMEX is conducted biennially between the Indian Navy and Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF).

What is Pinaka?
Pinaka multi-barrel rocket system (MBRS) is an indigenously-build, all-weather, indirect fire, a free flight artillery rocket system having a range of 37.5 km, named after Lord Shiva's bow.
Pinaka rockets are build by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for Indian Army.
Pinaka rockets are launched from a multi barrel rocket launcher (MBRL) which has capability to launch salvo of 12 rockets in 44 seconds.
The range of Mark-I version of Pinaka i.e., Pinaka Mk-I is about 40 kms where as range of Mark-II version of Pinaka i.e., Pinaka Mk-II is around 75 kms.

- The first batch of Rafale jets included five aircrafts: 3 single-seater, 2 twin-seater.
- They were flown by Indian Air Force pilots from Merignac airbase near Bordeaux in France to Ambala airbase in India with short a halt at Al Dhafra French air base near UAE's Abu Dabhi.
